Information on Ohlone PTA

The Ohlone PTA is a group of volunteers working together to help make the Ohlone learning experience as rich and fulfilling as possible, inside and outside the classroom. These dedicated parents organize, host, fund and implement many programs that augment the Ohlone classroom experience. These include communications programs like the Ohlone Arrow, the school signboard and eNews; enrichment programs like the after school Foreign Language Program, Family Science Night, Family Math Night, Family Orchestra Night, and TheaterWorks for the 2/3 cluster; social events like ice skating, the pancake breakfast, morning coffees and the Spring Fling picnic; and supplemental funding for classroom activities and other school needs given via checks to every teacher at the beginning of the school year and via grants to the school. In addition, the PTA, as part of the largest parent advocacy group in the country, keeps its eye on local, state and national education policies and legislative efforts the affect the well being of children. The PTA hopes that every parent will become a PTA member and participate in this organization that serves our school and improves the lives of our children.
